In his DPhil project, Guillaume will combine advanced single-molecule biophysical experiments with state-of-the-art computational modelling to uncover the physical mechanisms underpinning chromatin replication. At the heart of the project is the development of a predictive framework that integrates experimentally measured chromatin mechanics with the biochemical complexity of the replisome.
Guillaume's studentship is jointly funded by the EPSRC Doctoral Landscape Grant held by Condensed Matter Physics and the Kavli Oxford Studentship. We are grateful to both funders and to Guillaume's co-supervisors, Prof. Lars Jansen (Biochemistry) and Prof. Sonia Antoranz-Contera (Physics), for their support.

Guillaume has already made a fantastic contribution to our research, and we are absolutely delighted that he has chosen to stay with us for his DPhil. We cannot wait to see where his ideas take us and look forward to all the exciting science ahead!
